Spill

Spill
Pendulum Gallery, Sydney, 1993.

Twelve cubic metres of polystyrene package moulding stacked within a small exhibition space. A field of brittle plaster forms seems to emerge from the base of the structure as liquid spillage. Like some fledgling cuckoo, the work occupied its location as a grotesque imposition upon space. The synthetic moulds made inverse reference to the television tubes they had been designed to encase.
